Bathroom renovation

Hello friends,
I had some time left and decided to renovate the bathroom.
My idea is to remove the existing gravity flush toilet.
Can anyone explain to me how to remove the flange to which the toilet bowl is attached. I tried to unscrew it, but it didn't work.
